What Ages are Eligible to Participate?
Youth participants between ages 14 - 28 are welcome to join. There are not other requirements other than interest in servant leadership and social justice.
How Much is the Time Commitment?
Time commitments are expected to be 1 hour on average a week for 3-4 weeks, so a total of 4 hours or less.
Is the Program Offered Online?
Activities will be online as well as one physical meeting during podcast recording at Islamic Leadership Institute of America youth center location in Gwynn Oak, at 4903 Liberty Heights Ave, Baltimore, MD 21207 on a weekend afternoon.
When Does the Program Run?
The program starts in January 2023 and is expected to run once a month. Participants need to join for only one month.
Are Youth from Baltimore County Eligible to Join?
Youth from the city will have priority. However everyone is encouraged to apply. There will be an informational session soon, once we reach the waitlist.
Are their Stipends for Participating?
No stipends are available for participation, however participants receive the following benefits,
Community service hours for school or court.
Free leadership, public speaking and project management training.
Free leadership development opportunities.
Certificate of participation.
Can a Friend at my Congregation Join?
Absolutely, we encourage youth to join with friends.
